Recently a news has come that Google has removed 10 Indian apps from Google Play Store. Google had made some changes in the policy of Google Play Store. In which the service charge was also increased. Earlier the service charge was 11 percent. So it was increased to 26 percent. The companies which did not pay the charge under the new service charge. Their apps have been removed from Google Play Store. The Government of India has taken a strong stand on this matter and has told Google that you cannot remove Indian apps from the Google Play Store like this. Indian government has a tough stance
Google has removed 10 Indian apps from its Play Store. App companies complained to the government regarding this. After this, Government of India’s IT and Telecommunication Minister Ashwini Vaishnav assured the company that their security will be taken full care of. Ashwini Vaishnav told that Google and other apps will be removed next week. A meeting will be held with their developers.
Although Google has said that it had already informed all these companies about the policy, but even after this these companies ignored its instructions, hence Google was forced to take action. Now it remains to be seen what decision is taken in the meeting next week.
